Avnet USA

This article explains how to request and activate API credentials for Avnet USA (APIM).

⚠️ Note: Avnet provides different APIs for different regions. Please choose the correct API and documentation based on your location:

ℹ️ Note that the Avnet USA API exclusively supports contract prices.


Step 1 – APIM Registration

  1. Click Sign Up (top right).

  2. Complete the registration form and click Sign Up.

    • In the Avnet Account Number field, enter your account number.

    • If you’re unsure, contact [email protected].

  3. Check your email for a validation link and confirm your registration.

Step 2 – Request API Credentials

  1. Log in to your account: Avnet Sign In.

  2. Click on Browse APIsProduct & Pricing.

3. Fill out the subscription form.

👉 For the Via 3rd Party? question, select Yes and use the details below:

4. Accept the Terms of Use (if agreed) and click Subscribe.

You will receive two emails:

  • A confirmation of your request.

  • A notification once your API subscription is approved.

At first login after approval, you will be shown a Secret Value (your subscription key).


⚠️ Important: Copy and save this key immediately — it will be masked afterwards and cannot be retrieved. If lost, you will need to generate a new one via your APIM profile.

Step 3 – Activate the API in Luminovo

Once approved, log in to your APIM profile. You’ll see an overview of your credentials:

  • Primary Key (Find under subscription)

  • Client ID

  • Secret Key (create a new one if needed — remember, it will only be visible once)

  • Scope (from Authorization Details on the Profile page.)


🔑 To connect your keys in Luminovo, the mapping works like this:

  • Client ID (Luminovo)Client ID (Avnet)

  • Client Secret (Luminovo)Secret Value (Avnet)

  • Subscription Key (Luminovo)Primary Key (Avnet)

Click on connect account and your API will be active.
