Step 1 - APIM Registration
The first step is to register for an APIM account. Please follow the instructions below:
Access the following URL https://apiportal.avnet.com/
Click on SIGN UP (on tool bar in upper right-hand corner)
Complete Registration Fields and click SIGN UP
In the Avnet Account Number field, input the account number above (contact [email protected] if you need help confirming your Avnet account number).
A validation email will be received to the address entered on the Registration Form
Access and confirm Registration from that email
Step 2 - Request API credentials
After you completed the registration, SIGN IN to your account (https://apiportal.avnet.com/signin) and click on Browse APIs or use this link.
Next, click on the Product & Pricing link and fill out the form.
For the question "Via 3rd Party?" select yes and use the following Answers for the corresponding questions. Below you can find an example of the filled online form.

Please fill in the calls per week field if you know your expected call volume per week (for example: “1000 parts per week”).
Check the box to agree to Terms of Use (In case you agree) and Click SUBSCRIBE.
An email confirming the request will be sent to you. Once the API has been approved you will receive another email telling you to login and obtain your subscription key to begin calling into the API. When you first return to login to APIM after obtaining the email, you will be displayed a Secret Value. This is your subscription key – you will want to copy and retain it immediately.
NOTE: After the initial logic, the secret value/subscription key is masked and not fully visible. If you do not record this subscription key, a new one will need to be created.
This is doable via the Profile section of APIM. Please contact Avnet for support in generating a new subscription key. This subscription key will be used as your identifier/authorization in the API request and will need to be provided to your integration partner. Here, you can find detailed instructions on how to interact with the portal and how the components of your authentication work.
Step 3 - Activate the API in Luminovo
Your authentication components are visible on the profile page when logged in (https://apiportal.avnet.com/profile)
Primary Subscription Key (Secondary is not required)
Client ID
Secret Key (Note you will need to generate this by clicking the Create New Secret button. The unmasked value will only be visible one time – after leaving the page it will be permanently masked and you would need to generate a new secret if the value was not captured).

The credentials you need to send to Luminovo look like the example below:

Please send these to [email protected] for activation. Our support team will let you know once it is activated in Luminovo.
