How to maximise your IPN match rate

Depending on the overall amount of uploaded IPNs, mismatches can occur. We compiled the matching logics for you so you can strategically analyse why your IPN do not link to the parts in the system:

  1. How many of the IPNs without linked parts have suggestions or no suggestions?

  2. For those without suggestions, how many of them have MPNs etc specified and what do they look like?

  3. For those with suggestions, there is a matching_reason that shows where the suggestion comes from:

MPN means we found it based on the MPN column, but then likely the manufacturer was wrong - is the manufacturer just misspelt or an alternative or completely different?

DescriptionMpn means we found a part with the MPN that was mentioned in the description column. We do not auto-link parts that we find in the description. I would then check for these IPNs if they have an MPN specified in the MPN column, and if the suggested part generally makes sense (if yes, and there is no MPN in the MPN column, they should try and clean the data in this regard)

DescriptionSpn same as above but we found an SPN in the description

Description we found some technical parameters in the description - but as you know, we do not auto-link generic parts to IPNs
