This article describes how to request API keys from LCSC

ℹ️ Note that the LCSC API exclusively supports list prices (no contract prices).

Step 1:

Go to the website https://www.lcsc.com/agent, then press “Apply now”.

Then you’ll be redirected to the Registration page

Step 2:

  1. At the registration page you should fill out information as your Username, Email Address and create a password.

  2. Press “Send Code” and go to your Emails to look for the Confirmation Code.

  3. After putting in the code from the Email - press “Create an account

After creating an account you’ll be redirected to the page on Step 1, where you should also press “Apply now”.

Step 3:

Now you need to fill out all the information on this page. The Luminovo IP address you need to enter is: 20.79.227.93

And then press “Submit”.

Done!

Get the key activated by LCSC

⚠️ The first credentials LCSC sends you will not work in Luminovo yet. LCSC issues every new v3 key against their test API only. The key stays inactive on LCSC's production API until LCSC activates it, and entering it in Luminovo before that will fail no matter how often you retry.

Getting it activated takes one round trip:

  1. You receive the credentials from LCSC.

  2. You send them to us at [email protected].

  3. We run a test call against LCSC's test API from the Luminovo production IP.

  4. We send you the response.

  5. You forward it to LCSC and ask them to activate the key on their production API.

  6. LCSC activates the key and issues the final credentials.

  7. Now you can enter them in Luminovo.

Entering the credentials is the last step, not the first.

Activate the API key in Luminovo

The format of the credentials looks like this:

  • Key: ygbnFsIV8Gs766jja90s8sd

  • Secret: iOjevLiSFbkm3mSbHszsnZ75us78A&7d88aduz

To activate the Key go to settings and then select the tab Supplier API integration.

The list contains two LCSC entries:

  • LCSC (V3) – for credentials from LCSC's v3 API.

  • LCSC – for older credentials issued before the v3 API.

If you are not sure which you have, ask LCSC or get in touch with us. Open the matching entry and click Connect account. Enter the credentials and hit Save. An example can be found below.

Once activated, the API should indicate that it has successfully activated (with the green Activate tag) the connection and can be used in Luminovo.
